1. The confirmed answer

The announced US prices are $79.99 for the Standard Edition and $99.99 for the Ultimate Edition, according to Take-Two Interactive’s 24 June 2026 release. The Rockstar Support article “Platforms, Editions, and Versions”, updated the same day, says the Standard Edition includes the game. These are confirmed US prices, not a universal price for every currency or store. The supplied sources do not publish a complete country-by-country price table, so a local checkout total must be read as local commercial information rather than converted into a global rule.

The Ultimate Edition includes Grand Theft Auto VI and the GTAVI: Ultimate Edition Upgrade, plus these named items: ’95 Grotti Cheetah; Hawk & Little Morgan Revolvers; Personalized Weapon Variants; Vice City Styles; Jason’s Safehouse Vehicles; Ganado Retro Build; Rideout Customs Mod Shop; Sara’s Unisex Salon; Shitzu Squalo; Stock 305 Clothing Store; ’67 Vapid Dominator Buggy and Garage; Electric Fang Tattoo Parlor; One-Eyed Willie’s Mod Shop; Goodtime Gear; PTT Youngin$ Compound; and Classic Car Collection. The support article says Ultimate bonuses are threaded across Jason and Lucia’s story, with new items uncovered behind each chapter.

The same official record confirms that Standard owners can buy the Ultimate Edition Upgrade separately at any time as a digital module on PlayStation and Microsoft storefronts; physical buyers can do so after using the code. A physical Ultimate Edition is not available. The Vintage Vice City Pack is a separate pre-order or early-purchase bonus, and digital versions also list one month of GTA+ Membership. The sources publish the names and access paths, not the gameplay role of each item.

2. What changed

The comparison became public in two layers on 24 June 2026. Take-Two’s release established the $79.99 US Standard price, the $99.99 US Ultimate price, the 19 November launch, and the pre-order timing. It gave the commercial distinction between the two offers, but it did not provide the full item-by-item list reproduced on this page.

Rockstar’s support article updated on the same date supplied the deeper edition record. It says Standard includes the game, then names the Ultimate Edition Upgrade and every published Ultimate item. It also states that the bonuses are threaded across Jason and Lucia’s story, with new items uncovered behind each chapter. That wording establishes how the publisher describes their placement, but it does not explain what any individual vehicle, weapon, style, business or collection does.

The support article also documents the route between editions: a Standard owner can buy the digital upgrade at any time, a physical owner can do so after redeeming the enclosed code, and no physical Ultimate Edition is available. The same date’s materials list the Vintage Vice City Pack and a month of GTA+ with digital versions. No supplied source adds a separate physical Ultimate product or a published value ranking.

3. What to plan for

Use the comparison in three passes. First, decide whether the Standard Edition’s confirmed contents meet the only requirement that is already certain: owning the game. Take-Two’s 24 June 2026 price is $79.99 in the United States, and Rockstar Support says Standard includes Grand Theft Auto VI. Second, read the Ultimate list as a list of published names, not as a promise about strength, rarity, convenience or return on investment. The support article does not publish those roles.

Third, choose the format before assuming the upgrade path is identical everywhere. Standard owners can buy the Ultimate Edition Upgrade separately at any time through the digital PlayStation or Microsoft storefronts; a physical Standard buyer must first use the code. The support article explicitly says a physical Ultimate Edition is not available, and it also says a disc will not be included in the box. That makes “Ultimate” a digital upgrade path, not a second boxed format.

Finally, keep the bonus separate from the edition decision. Take-Two says pre-orders and purchases before 20 November 2026 include the Vintage Vice City Pack, while the support article lists one month of GTA+ with digital versions. Not confirmed as of 11 August 2026: the gameplay role, individual utility, upgrade price, local price table, tax treatment, or exact timing of each named item. Use GTA 6 Ultimate Edition, GTA 6 Ultimate Edition upgrade, and GTA 6 pre-order bonuses for the adjacent decisions.

4. Avoid the bad answer

The classic edition mistakes are predictable. Some buyers assume Standard means an incomplete game; others see a long Ultimate list and invent a role for every item. Another error is expecting a physical Ultimate box, treating the upgrade as a second disc, or assuming that the Vintage Vice City Pack and GTA+ month are the same bonus for every format. A higher price alone does not prove gameplay value before release.

The confirmed answer is that the Standard Edition includes the game and is listed at $79.99 US, while Ultimate is listed at $99.99 US with the game, the named GTAVI: Ultimate Edition Upgrade and the published list of bonuses. Standard owners can purchase the digital upgrade at any time; physical Standard owners can do so after redeeming the code; no physical Ultimate Edition is available. The June 24 sources also separate the Vintage Vice City Pack from the Ultimate list and attach the GTA+ month to digital versions.

Not confirmed as of 11 August 2026: what each item does in play, whether a named item changes progression or access, the upgrade price, local currency prices, taxes, or a reasoned value score. The official list is the boundary. Compare the date and format on GTA 6 pre-orders, the bonus conditions on GTA 6 pre-order bonuses, and the route on GTA 6 Ultimate Edition upgrade.
