GTA 6 supported languages
The publisher lists thirteen supported languages on its own storefront.
01 The confirmed answer
The Rockstar Store product page for Grand Theft Auto VI lists thirteen supported languages, checked on August 11, 2026:
- English
- French
- Italian
- German
- Russian
- Japanese
- Polish
- Korean
- Simplified Chinese
- Traditional Chinese
- Spanish (Mexico)
- Spanish (Spain)
- Portuguese (Brazil)
The list sits on the storefront as a product field, in the same block as the trademark and copyright notice, rather than in a newswire post or a support article.
That list answers one question and leaves a second one open. It states which languages the product declares. It does not state what form the support takes: the field is headed Supported Languages and it does not separate interface text, subtitles and spoken dialogue. A player who wants to know whether the game is dubbed in French, or subtitled only, will not find that answer in the published record as it stands on this date. The support article covering platforms, editions and versions, updated June 24, 2026, does not mention languages at all, so no other first-party document narrows the term.
Read strictly, the useful statement is therefore in two parts: thirteen languages are declared for the product, and the kind of support offered in each of them is not established.
02 What changed
The language list did not arrive as an announcement. It appeared as a field on the Rockstar Store product page, alongside the release date of November 19, 2026, the developer and publisher credits, the edition comparison and the storefront FAQ. Nothing marks it as news, and no dated post draws attention to it, which is why it is easy to miss: it reads as boilerplate at the foot of a shopping page.
That placement matters for anyone tracking the record. Announcements are dated and archived; a product field is neither. It can be edited in place, without a note, and a reader comparing two visits has no timestamp to compare. This page therefore records the state observed on August 11, 2026, and the count of thirteen belongs to that date rather than to the product in general.
The second document consulted here establishes a boundary by silence. The support article of June 24, 2026 sets out platforms, editions, versions and the region rules attached to download codes, and covers them in detail. It says nothing about languages. A subject that a detailed support article omits entirely is a subject the publisher has not chosen to document, which is a different situation from one where an answer exists and is hard to find.
03 What to plan for
Use the list to check presence, not depth. If your language appears among the thirteen, the product declares support for it; if it does not appear, no first-party record currently promises it. Treat any statement about dubbing, voice acting or subtitle quality as unestablished, because the field that names the languages does not describe what it covers.
Check the field again at the point of purchase rather than trusting a copy of it. Storefront fields change without notice, and the value that binds a purchase is the one displayed on the storefront on the day the order is placed. This is doubly true for a game whose release is months away, since language support is normally finalised late in production.
Be careful with the two Spanish entries and the two Chinese entries. The list distinguishes Spanish (Mexico) from Spanish (Spain), and Simplified Chinese from Traditional Chinese, which means the product treats them as separate options rather than as regional variants of one language. Nothing in the record says whether a platform account set to one of them can select the other.
Finally, do not read the list as a map of where the game is sold. Language availability and regional code rules are separate matters, documented in separate places, and this page speaks only to the first.
04 Avoid the bad answer
Two claims circulate ahead of a release of this size, and neither is supported by the record as checked on August 11, 2026. The first is that the game is fully dubbed in every language it lists. The published field does not say that, and no first-party document distinguishes voice from text for any of the thirteen. The second is that more languages will be added at launch. Nothing dated says so; a list can grow before release, but an expectation is not a record.
A third claim deserves care because it sounds cautious rather than enthusiastic: that the physical version supports a different set of languages from the digital one. The support article describes the physical version as a box containing a download code and no disc, which makes it the same digital product; but it does not address languages, so the honest position is that the question is undocumented rather than answered either way.
What can be said with a date attached is narrow and worth repeating: thirteen named languages, declared on the publisher storefront, observed on August 11, 2026, with no statement about interface, subtitles or audio. Everything beyond that belongs to the next dated document, not to inference.
