GTA 6 Ultimate Edition upgrade

Confirmed by Rockstar Support’s Grand Theft Auto VI Platforms, Editions, and Versions record updated June 24, 2026: the Grand Theft Auto VI: Ultimate Edition Upgrade is a separate digital add-on for Standard Edition owners. The support record says the upgrade can be purchased separately at any time through the PlayStation or Microsoft storefronts. It also states that physical Standard buyers can upgrade after the digital download code in the box has been redeemed. A physical Ultimate Edition is not available in the published versions list.

Confirmed — The route is clear even though the commercial specification is not. The source names the add-on, its storefront path, the timing rule, and the code-redemption condition. It also identifies Standard Edition as including the game and Ultimate Edition as a separate edition with its own contents. A physical version carries a download code rather than a disc, so physical Standard does not mean a disc-based upgrade route.

Not confirmed — the source does not publish an upgrade price, local currency table, tax treatment, refund rule, exact contents beyond the Ultimate list, or the moment when each bonus becomes usable. It also does not specify how a purchase behaves across accounts, consoles, or storefront regions. The confirmed answer is how Standard Edition can move toward Ultimate Edition, not what the add-on is worth. Not confirmed — as of 4 September 2026, the publisher has not announced those missing commercial details.

Confirmed by the Rockstar Support record dated June 24, 2026: the upgrade path appears alongside the Standard Edition and Ultimate Edition descriptions. The article first identifies Standard Edition as including the game, then says Standard Edition owners can purchase the Ultimate Edition Upgrade separately. It gives the storefront route for a pre-order as a digital add-on through PlayStation and Microsoft, and says players can upgrade at any point after the Grand Theft Auto VI digital download code has been redeemed.

Confirmed — The same document makes the physical boundary explicit: the box contains a download code rather than a disc, and a physical Ultimate Edition is not available. The support record does not add a price, deadline, or different retailer route for the upgrade. The physical format therefore changes how the Standard Edition is redeemed, not the published availability of the digital add-on.

Not confirmed — no supplied first-party wording adds a commercial price, a country-by-country checkout rule, a separate deadline, or a schedule for each bonus. The history is a stable support instruction dated June 24, not an inferred promise about future store presentation. Not confirmed — as of 4 September 2026, the publisher has not announced a different upgrade history or a fuller commercial specification.

Confirmed — The translated searches “what is the GTA 6 Ultimate Edition Upgrade?”, “what is the Ultimate Edition Upgrade in GTA 6?”, “what is the GTA 6 Ultimate Upgrade?”, “what is GTA VI Ultimate Edition Upgrade?”, and “what is GTA 6 upgrade?” ask the same question. The answer is a separate digital add-on for Standard Edition owners, available through the PlayStation or Microsoft storefronts. The shorter searches “GTA 6 Ultimate Edition”, “GTA 6 Ultimate upgrade”, “GTA 6 upgrade Ultimate Edition”, “GTA VI upgrade Ultimate”, and the Polish search for the GTA 6 Ultimate Edition upgrade all point to that same boundary.

Confirmed — For a digital Standard Edition purchase, look for the Ultimate Edition Upgrade as a digital add-on in the storefront named by Rockstar Support. For a physical Standard purchase, redeem the download code first; the support record says the upgrade is available after that redemption. The source says the purchase can happen at any time, so do not invent a pre-order-only deadline. Keep the upgrade separate from the base game and the Vintage Vice City Pack, whose conditions are different. A physical Ultimate Edition is not available in the published versions list.

Not confirmed — the questions “what is the GTA 6 Ultimate Edition price?”, “what does the upgrade cost?”, “is the upgrade available in my country?”, “can I get a refund?”, “does tax apply?”, “when do the bonuses activate?”, and “can a particular retailer sell it?” have no published answer in the supplied source. Not confirmed — as of 4 September 2026, the publisher has not announced those details or how the add-on behaves across accounts and consoles.

Continue with GTA 6 Ultimate Edition for the item list and GTA 6 pre-order bonuses for the separate reward.

Confirmed — The common mistake is assuming that choosing Standard Edition permanently closes the Ultimate Edition path, or expecting a boxed Ultimate Edition that can be swapped into a console. Another mistake is treating the upgrade as the same thing as the Vintage Vice City Pack. Rockstar Support says Standard Edition owners can purchase the digital Ultimate Edition Upgrade separately at any time; physical Standard buyers must redeem the included digital code first, and no physical Ultimate Edition is available.

Confirmed — The add-on is also distinct from the base game and from the pre-order reward. A Standard Edition code gives access to the game described by the support record; the upgrade is the published route toward the Ultimate Edition offer, while the Vintage Vice City Pack has its own conditions. The source does not establish that an add-on follows a player between accounts, consoles, or storefront regions.

Not confirmed — the price of the add-on, the exact checkout wording in every country, a universal refund policy, the timing of individual bonuses, and the value of upgrading after launch were not published by the source. Not confirmed — as of 4 September 2026, the publisher has not announced those points. Use the source-backed route rather than a retailer assumption.
