GTA VI DualSense preorders set
Sony has dated Black and White limited-edition GTA VI DualSense preorders, with separate US and European times.
Sony Interactive Entertainment has put a date on two GTA VI accessories in a PlayStation Blog post published on September 3, 2026. The State of Play announcement names two wireless DualSense designs: a Black Limited Edition and a White Limited Edition. This is a product announcement from the platform holder, not another game trailer and not a revision to the game. It repeats the already announced November 19 launch for Grand Theft Auto VI on PlayStation 5. The new information is therefore about how players can buy a themed accessory before launch, not about a new story or gameplay reveal.
Sony gives the pair a distinct Vice City visual language. Each controller has a shimmering finish that shifts between colours, drawing on a sunset palette and the city’s neon nights. Palm-tree details are moulded into the shell instead of being applied as a flat image, and the post says both controllers carry official Grand Theft Auto VI branding. White is described through daybreak, pale sand and pastel skies; Black is presented as the night-time version. “Limited edition” describes the offer, but Sony does not publish a production count, so the size of the run is unknown.
The distribution promises also differ by colour. Sony says the White Limited Edition will be sold in limited quantities worldwide through direct.playstation.com and participating retailers. The Black Limited Edition is limited to direct.playstation.com in regions where that service operates, with selected retailers elsewhere. Sony lists the direct service for the United States, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Spain, Italy and Austria. Portugal is given a separate route through the PlayStation hardware store. That wording is why a reader should check the local storefront rather than assume that one retailer or one colour works everywhere.
The calendar is precise, but it is not one universal clock. Preorders open on September 10, 2026. For the United States, the announcement gives 7:00 a.m. Pacific Time and 10:00 a.m. Eastern Time. For the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Austria, Spain, Italy, Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg, it gives 10:00 a.m. local time. Portuguese buyers are directed to the hardware-store route. The US times should not be copied as if they were the European schedule; the local-time list is the source’s actual instruction for those countries.
Sony says both controllers launch starting November 19, the same date currently published for the PlayStation 5 game. The recommended prices listed in the post are $84.99 USD, ¥12,480 including tax, €84.99 and £74.99. No separate price is assigned to the two colours. Eligible direct orders may receive free delivery on launch day, but that sentence applies to qualifying orders and does not establish identical stock, delivery terms or release timing for every retailer and territory.
The post also states what the DualSense is meant to do in Grand Theft Auto VI. Haptic feedback and adaptive triggers are described as responding to the action and adding dynamic resistance, so that the sights, sounds and sensations of Jason and Lucia’s story reach the player’s hands. That is the published relationship between the accessory and the PS5 version. Sony does not provide a mission-by-mission effects table, a performance setting, or a technical breakdown of every trigger event. None of those details can be filled in from this announcement.
For a prospective buyer, the useful change is a shopping checklist: two named designs, a public preorder day, prices in several currencies and a list of country routes. The announcement does not add a PC edition, an Xbox accessory, a bundle, a manufacturing total or a promise that every shop will carry both colours. It also does not make the Vice City styling evidence of an unannounced game feature. The post is valuable precisely because its scope is narrow and its limits are visible.
The first-party PlayStation Blog entry is dated September 3, 2026. The next dates to watch are September 10 for the listed preorder windows and November 19 for the announced launch. Sony warns that exact dates and availability can vary by country or region, so local PlayStation and retailer pages remain necessary for stock and checkout confirmation. The source establishes the published products, prices, routes and times; it does not establish a unit count, a restock plan or a guarantee of identical availability. Those are the facts this announcement can support, and no more.
