A comparison of current and archived listings finds clearer pre-order wording, an Xbox legal-text addition and a correction to Macca the Gator.

iGrandTheftAuto reported on September 20 that the PlayStation and Xbox Ultimate Edition listings for Grand Theft Auto VI had been quietly edited earlier in the month. The report comes from comparing current pages with archived captures, not from a Rockstar announcement. The edits are wording changes, not a new reveal.

On PlayStation, the older description said buyers had to pre-order “before November 20” to receive the Vintage Vice City Pack and the one-month GTA+ bonus. The current listing instead says the purchase must be made “prior to 19 November 2026 at 23:59:59”. The current page was opened directly on September 22.

The PlayStation comparison also shows the benefit list formatted with dashes rather than the earlier bullets. That is a copy and layout change. It does not move the announced release date, add a platform, or prove that the contents of the Ultimate Edition have changed.

The Xbox listing received the same deadline clarification and dash formatting, according to the report. Its archived page was opened as the earlier baseline. The current Xbox page was not readable through the web reader in this passage, so current Xbox-only details remain attributed to the complete report rather than presented as a fresh direct measurement.

The report says Xbox also added “Vice City” to its trademark section and inserted legal wording about a digital licence, the Terms of Service, online requirements, account access and possible feature changes. Those additions describe store legal language; they do not announce a new mode or a new service plan.

Both platform descriptions corrected the character name “Macca the Alligator” to “Macca the Gator”. The older spelling is visible in the archived PlayStation and Xbox pages, while the corrected spelling is visible on the current PlayStation page and reported for the current Xbox listing.

Taken together, these are quiet storefront maintenance edits around a pre-order deadline and product copy. They do not establish a delay, an earlier launch, a PC version, a change to the announced console platforms, or a change to the announced November 19, 2026 date.

This report uses the full iGrandTheftAuto comparison, the current and archived PlayStation pages, and the archived Xbox page opened on September 22. The exact edit timestamps are unknown, and the current Xbox page could not be read through the web reader. No leaked game content or storefront media is used.

The practical meaning of the PlayStation wording is narrower than a new countdown. The listed cutoff is a timestamp attached to the pre-order benefit, while the product page still presents the announced release date. The listing does not say whether a retailer, region or payment method will display the same cutoff everywhere, so readers should treat the sentence as the wording observed on that page rather than as a universal guarantee.

The Xbox legal block is similarly descriptive. It says that some features may require an internet connection, a Rockstar Games account, a single-use code, extra fees or gameplay unlocking, and that access can be modified under the terms of service. Those clauses are standard conditions attached to a digital product listing. They do not reveal which game features will use them, how often the game will connect, or whether every mode will share the same requirements.

The spelling correction is small but useful for search and for future reference pages. “Macca the Gator” is the form now visible on PlayStation, while the earlier “Alligator” form survives in the archived snapshots. Nothing in the comparison suggests a character redesign, a story change or a new bonus item. The safe editorial conclusion is simply that the storefront copy was cleaned up and made more explicit before launch.

For readers tracking the pre-order offer, the comparison is useful because it separates a copy edit from a product announcement. The archive establishes what the pages said before; the current PlayStation listing establishes what it says now; and the report supplies the Xbox comparison where the live page could not be read in this passage. That evidence supports a narrow conclusion: the stores clarified and corrected their descriptions, while the announced launch information remains unchanged in the material reviewed here. Readers should not infer a product change from copy alone before the launch window opens.
