Official announcement
GTA VI storage size is not published
Rockstar lists the platforms and pre-load date, but its current official pages publish no installation-size figure.
Rockstar Games' support article, last updated on August 18, 2026, lists Grand Theft Auto VI for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S and describes its Standard and Ultimate Editions. It does not publish a number for the space the game will occupy on either console.
The same article does publish a date for the download process: digital pre-load begins on November 12, 2026, at local midnight. That is a schedule for when files can start arriving, not a statement of their size. The physical version also contains a download code rather than a disc.
Rockstar's official Grand Theft Auto VI page likewise names PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S and the November 19, 2026 release, but it publishes no storage requirement. The two questions therefore remain separate: the platform and pre-load dates are published; the installation size is not.
As of the August 18 support update and the August 30 recheck, no official Rockstar page in the sources used here gives a GB figure for Grand Theft Auto VI. This is a dated state of the record, not proof that a size will never be announced. When Rockstar publishes one, it should be recorded separately from the pre-load date.
