Rockstar says GTA 6 is on time

GamesRadar reports that Rockstar North co-lead Rob Nelson said GTA 6 will be released on time after the extended look.

GamesRadar+ reported on August 30, 2026 that Rob Nelson, head of development and co-studio head at Rockstar North, said Grand Theft Auto VI “will be released on time.” The statement was reported from a Famitsu interview translated by GamesRadar+.

The comment followed the extended look that premiered on Netflix on August 27. GamesRadar+ framed Nelson’s answer as a response to concerns about whether the announced November 19, 2026 launch would hold, rather than as a new release-date announcement.

The statement is attributed to Nelson and carried here as a report. It does not establish a guarantee beyond what he said, and it does not change the release date already published by Rockstar and Take-Two.

Wasted Stars records the distinction between an attributed interview statement and an official release notice. No leaked game material is described, reproduced or used as evidence on this page.
