Take-Two seeks sealed Discord data
TorrentFreak reports a new sealed Discord request as Take-Two describes its GTA VI leak investigation as rapidly evolving.
TorrentFreak reported on August 31, 2026 that Take-Two described its investigation into the Grand Theft Auto VI leak as “rapidly evolving” and asked a federal court to keep a new Discord subpoena request under seal. The report concerns the legal process, not the contents of any leaked material.
According to the report, Take-Two said an earlier Discord subpoena was issued on August 21 and promptly served. Discord had publicly said on August 24 that it had not yet been served, and the court record does not show a clerk-issued subpoena at that point. That conflict remains part of the record rather than a settled fact.
TorrentFreak says the sealed request seeks information connected to one additional Discord user and further information about an already identified user. Because the filing is sealed, the requested details, the users’ identities and any court ruling are not established here.
The same report says Take-Two withdrew a separate YouTube subpoena after deciding that it no longer needed the information. Wasted Stars is recording this as a dated report about an evolving legal investigation; it does not reproduce or describe the leaked game content.
